Re: Shopping at Trader Joes (Tips)

Publix moto is "where shopping is a pleasure." And this is where I do most of my grocery shopping. It's a bad day for me if I have to go to Kroger. But Trader Joe's shopping is an experience. Like others have said the staff is extremely friendly. All of the check out lines are open and even on busy days there is no standing in long lines. And I will say the most of the customers are friendly.

I love the red pepper jelly but it is not always available same with the dill pickle mustard.  Waiting for the almond Kringles. The sugar bee apples are the best and the Campari tomatoes are cheaper at Trader Joe's than anywhere else. In the summer they have a lemon pound cake mix that I always stock up on.

I went to Aldi's yesterday for the first time. Completely different experience than Trader Joe's. It is set up like a warehouse or a food pantry. I bought a couple of things just because I was there but I have no desire to go back.

Re: Shopping at Trader Joes (Tips)

I remember when I decided to try it I came here 5-6 years ago and asked for food ideas.

I went and bought everything mentioned and was very happy. My list is probably still on here. lol

The bad thing is I haven't been back because the shopping center it is in has gone downhill and very scary even during the day with robberies and car thefts in the parking lot.

I remember a 2.00 bottle of rose wine that was excellent! The frozen foods were good and pb chocolate cups.

Re: Shopping at Trader Joes (Tips)

I live 90 minutes from the nearest Trader Joes.  I happened to be there today because we were in that city for a doctor appointment.  It was not busy at all around noon.  I go once a year to buy the turkey gravy for Thanksgiving.  It's good and a huge convenience for me.
