@Bookplate

Yes, they had fabulous gold....even 24k....I still have several lovely, heavier gram pieces.  The prices were amazing then!

I wonder if people won't get ShopHQ confused with Shop LC.

I think people who are just casual shoppers or channel flippers will think it's ShopLC.  QVC and HSN have multiple channels so some people will think ShopLC added a second channel.

I was never able to remember the name after it changed from shopnbc. Not that it matters. The only thing we bought there was the Invicta brand of watches which were outstanding then. My husband only bought the true Swiss-made ones, and they are great. I think they’re making all of them in China now, and my husband tuned in to an Invicta show for a few minutes recently and said the presentations no longer focus on and name each watch’s movement. As a collector, he buys a watch for its movement. Sad. Renaming the network won’t bring us back.

I bought a few gold and gemstone pieces from them. Mostly Chuck Clemancy.  Nice pieces at a fair price.  I loved watching Chuck.  He was very entertaining and you never knew what his hair was going to look like!  I loved to listen to him about his daughter Kellie Ann.  She had a collection named after her.

At some point I just stopped watching ShopNBC because there were way too many Invicta watches.  Also, one of the beauty supplements I had on AD were just discontinued with no advanced notice.

I have done just fine without ShopNBC/Shop HQ/Evine.  I don't anticipate I will be watching or purchasing from them in the near future, no matter what their name morphs into again.

Actually first it was CVN.  They were bought out by QVC and many of the CVN hosts ended up there. But a few hosts and managers at CVN joined together and formed ValueVision.  Amazing jewelry in those days.

QVC did not buy CVN.  QVC and CVN merged and QVC remained while CVN dissolved.

ValueVision may have been started by former CVN hosts and managers but VV was never CVN and neither was QVC.

The shipping costs are out of control compared to the other networks. I like many customers have commented on the high shipping costs. They continue to creep up. I received a notification that I have a ups package coming (sure post of course) the package contains multiple orders. I calculated my shipping costs then I calculated how much it would cost to ship that package UPS ground and 2 day. I paid $45.92 if I shipped those same items from Nashville,TN to my home in MD I’d pay $35.66 for 2 day delivery or $14.92 for ground. This is the cost for a consumer. Evine has a contract and negotiated pricing with UPS which means they are paying significantly less. But still choose to send packages via surepost and mail innovations( snail mail) and Your shipping costs have increased. I understand that quarterly earnings have suffered over the past year as a result of Beckman’s exit and it’s clear that they’ve used shipping as a way to recoup their losses. Lesson learned for me

And QVC does the EXACT same thing. So does HSN. As a consumer you can either pay the price or not order. I wish they would charge shipping by ORDER not by item like other companies do; I don't expect free shipping all the time but charging per item is a tad much.

@SahmIam, Evine's s/h is more than HSN's and QVC's.  Every clothing item has a minimum of $4.99, even if the item is on clearance for $8.00.  The jewelry is $6.99, even for little band rings.  Watches are $9.00+.

I agree that charging per item is nuts but Evine is really nuts.  I pretty much gave up ordering from them at all because I'm not paying $10.00 to ship 2 summer tops to me.

@Lipstickdiva  I hear ya. I order ONLY when there is free shipping or reduced shipping; same with QVC and HSN. That said, enough people ARE willing to pay those shipping costs else, they would have zero customers....which isn't the case.

NOTHING is a deal especially when you're buying multiple items.

Adding: I don't mind paying the cost when it's fine jewelry. With EVINE, it means I'll have it within 72 hours and via UPS. QVC and HSN mail it snail mail and that's after 5-10 days of processing.

@2blondeWonder if they'll try to resurrect Steve Bryant and Bob Bowersox and some of the other "golden oldies".
