Maybe I am just spoiled but I was a little surprised at the return charges at ShopHQ. I was aware they charged you for original postage when you return an item but I didn't know there would be more charges for an exchange. In other words, I just received a pair of shoes which are indeed of good quality but my usual size was too small. I would agree to pay the postage again to send them back but was surprised to learn that I must pay postage again for them to send an exchanged size. And their shipping charges are higher than the other shopping channels. Boy, I thought I spent a lot to exchange with QVC and HSN!

Both QVC and HSN are always more than fair in dealing with a problem a customer has but I found ShopHQ didn't give me such consideration when the face of a watch I had ordered had a red mark on it. I eventually got a new watch but the problem had to be checked out by another department before they would honor my request.

I will be tempted but don't expect to order any thing else from this shopping channel again, especially an item that must be ordered by size.

Thanks for listening.

My rule of thumb is to buy from SHQ only on days when they offer free shipping with their CC, then no issue of refund for original for shipping if I need to return.

It has been so long since I ordered from either of them I cannot remember if Shops does that. They probably do and I did not notice.

As far as shoes go I order all mine from Shoebuy.com, Shoeline.com and ShoeMall.com for always free shipping and free shipping for returns and you have 60 days not 30 to send back. Plus when I get my 10.00 off email coupons from them from time to time is really great. Never been disappointed with any I kept or returned.

I see that this particular item did offer free shipping shipping when I ordered it but the problem is that now I do have to pay to return the shoes to them and pay again for them to send me the exchanged size. What I am objecting to is that you have to pay postage for them to send the exchanged size back to you; of course I know they don't give credit for original postage on a return; they recently charged me $8.95 to return a small jewelry item. Maybe there are other vendors that have additional charges for exchanges but I haven't dealth with any.

I just got off the phone with ShopHQ after going through many phone options and this is what I was told by their customer service.

Thanks for the Shoebuy tip Becky That's really good to know.

How about sending them back, then the next time they offer free shipping with their CC, rebuy them that day, they usually offer this about once a week.

Shoes are so tough to buy without trying them on, that is why those online stores offer free returns.

I've found the shipping to be really slow, too.

I have had to send back sandals from the Q. and Shoebuy that did not fit well but only shoebuy did not charge me for the return. Also all of my shoes come to my office within 3 to five days after ordering. Works for me to get 60 days to make up my mind if I want to keep them.

I only buy jewelry and an occasional watch but I find their shipping and returns acknowledgment to be super fast. If I order over a week-end, I usually get my merchandise on Tues. or Wed.

Funny how different our experiences have been. Maybe it's the area of the country I live in but I would seriously think twice before ordering from them again. One piece of jewelry, two painted purses and some Waterford seahorse candlesticks.

My last purchase from them was a pair of fairly expensive earrlngs (over $500) and the shipping was $8.99. I figured that made sense since they, like QVC, self-insure. But one day the shipping for the item went down to $2.99 so I called them and they gave me the $6 plus tax difference off my next payment. Nice Smiley Happy

I got the earrings in less than a week. I am west coast adjacent. I cannot even get a QVC order in that period of time when it ships from a Sacramento warehouse that's one day by UPS (two hour drive) from me.
