@Desertdi   Do you by chance have polybutylene pipe in your house?  I did and had to have the whole house replumbed to the tune of over $20,000 plus a couple thousand in excess water bills.  It's a gray plastic-looking pipe

@Desertdi  just imagine how beautiful it will look when it's all done. It would make the time go by faster.

@Kachina624     The incoming pipes are copper, and the outgoing are that "poly" stuff.    The plumbers worked on BOTH, for about 8 hours.  Total plumbing bill was around $5,000 (which I had to pay for myself.) 

 

The current job is for restoration from water damage, which is covered by the insurance.    I admit I am a "dummy" as far as "construction"....but the plumbers told me it looked like that bathroom had been  "remodeled" at one time in the past.   NOT BY ME!!!!

Retailers claim there is a worker shortage. I call b.s. on that. If they paid people a decent wage, there wouldn't be a worker shortage. People don't want to work for slave wages anymore.
