Re: Shooting Near El Paso, Texas Mall

More mass shootings than days I'd say that's most definitely an escalation

Re: Shooting Near El Paso, Texas Mall

Must we be the worst before we try to protect our own?

That does not make sense.

The debate of how people were raised, or if they are on drugs, have mental health issues, or if they are encouraged by social media does not address deal with the significant issue of HOW this mass killing is being carried out.

We live in a supposedly developed society, as such, this is not acceptable no matter why.

We are not the only developed society that has issues.

Wow, that's profound.

Isn't it?

Your attempt at sarcasm is laughable.

Your attempt at proving no escalation of mass shootings in this country is pathetic.

I never said that.  Stop interpreting things to suit yourself.

I said that they have happened in the past and that the 24-hour news cycle is PART OF the reason they are happening MORE.

People KNOW they will MAKE THE NEWS!

Get it???

"US bashers"? Therein lies part of the problem.

I agree but that is not the point of my post.

Some people need to believe something and anything contrary to that is a threat.

That is why I posted the links.

Re: Shooting Near El Paso, Texas Mall

Leave it to some editorialists to try to figure out a way to downplay our shooting problem. Changing the shooting incidents to translate into how many are shot per million is asinine. Any jerk can try to skew numbers to fit their agenda, but the fact is no other country has the number of incidences of mass shooting like we do.

Can you expound on that?  Not sure what you are asking/saying.

@bathina

I would normally say ‘yes’ to Wednesday, but since El Paso is the area

for migrant shelters, a democrat nominee and now a mass shooting....

I have a feeling this tradegy will be in the news for a while.

The candidates will definitely make it a strong platform.

And...sad to say, just the expected number of deaths will keep this in the news for some time.

If anything & on some level, keeping this in the news is a good thing.

It’s good to keep makin’ noise.
