I am just hearing about this, they said it was a outdoor concert.He shot from the hotel windows!!!

64 year old shooter, $65,000 automatic weapon. I never heard of a gun like that.

Shooting at a country music festival, shooter now dead.

It's so sad...beyond awful. What is happening to the world?!  My heart goes out to all of the people and their families affected....this has been such a bad year!

On a side note....for years my parents went to Vegas every year. They just loved it there. Now my mom is going to be 91 this month and it's been probably at least 15 years since she's been there. She happened to mention to my brother last week that she would love to go one more time and my brother thought that it might make a nice birthday gift to send her...ummm NO for many reasons!

Unconfirmed (6:54am CST):

A woman who was at the concert told a local news station that a “lady pushed her way forward in the concert venue. And she started messing with another lady and told us that we are all going to die tonight. … It was about 45 minutes the shots were actually fired. But then she was escorted out by security.” But police have not confirmed if they believe that was related to the shooting.

Reports said there was a lady, short in stature, who was touching the hair of a concertgoer, saying everyone was going to die tonight.  Everyone thought it was just Las Vegas...concert, drinking...kinda odd..a little eerie, but they just escorted her out.  

Marilou Danley, Paddock’s companion, fits the physical description.  Should be interesting to hear her side of the story.

I used to live there too, in fact I have family that still live there and that used to work at the hotel where the shooting was. I don't want to call though, because it's only 5 am their time.

@jaxs mom I know what you mean, I have not called yet as well due to the time difference.

I drove past that concert area every morning on the way to work. I would always see

the set ups going on for concerts.

I called my mom but she hasn't heard from my sister. I tried texting but I she could be asleep. My husband texted me asking if everyone there was ok but I have nothing to tell him. He's out of town on a business trip. He said he'd call some friends there that are up early and make sure people he knows are alright there.
