Yes CNN just announced that one person has passed.  They don't know for sure if it has to do with the celebration as it happened in a parking garage.

Consider the source......

The "source" is correct

Re: Shooting At Super Bowl Parade

Very sad, but not at all surprising, that a poster here would say "consider the source" about the death of a person in a mass shooting. SHE IS DEAD, YES SHE DIED AND THAT IS NOT FAKE NEWS

NBC News

The pediatric patients taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital after today’s shooting were 6 to 15 years old, and all are expected to recover, the hospital’s chief nursing officer said.

The children will most likely need help dealing with what happened, said Stephanie Meyer, the senior vice president and chief nursing officer.

“Fear. The one word I would use to describe what we saw, and how they felt when they came to us was fear,” she said when she was asked how the children seemed when they arrived.

[ Edited ]

It is all just so terribly sad and I think about the families who were together and then in a second will never see each other again. Sometimes I feel numb, other times I cry. This is our America and it it so hard to take.

I think my previous post must have gotten deleted with someone elses I didn't read but yes, how can we all not be saddened and think how would we feel if it was one of our loved ones? It could be any of us any day.

A few weeks ago a customer at our neighborhood Walmart we go to often wasn't going to pay for a chicken so the employee started confronting him. The man left the store went out to the parking lot, got a gun from his car and came back in. The gun fell out of his hand. Employees and he went for it and one was shot in the knee.

We all were thinking, my daughter could have been there with her little ones any day any time.

My heart is broken everytime with all the families.

Charge the shooter/s with the worst possible offenses and then lock up him/her and throw away the key. No parole.

So awful, a wonderful celebration turns into a tragedy.

The news said it was estimated that there were a million people in and around the downtown area.

How are 800 police supposed to moniter a milliom people.  You can't be everywhere.

Exaactly. Even harder when anyone can be legally armed in public. The possibilities of violence are endless and overwhelming. Unfortunately, the result is a dead person and injured children.

But that's the price we pay for our divine right for anybody who wants to buy, carry and use firearms.
