Suspect was shot and killed by police at the festival.

At least 15 injured, 4 killed, and that's including the gunman.

He gained access to the festival via a creek nearby.

Still looking for any possible other shooters.

i wanted to add. we are a smaller town on the most southern edge of Santa Clara County. we are a very tight knit community where everyone still knows everyone for the most part. when they gave the report from Mayor, Chief of Police they are all people we know personally, or know by sight.

gilroy is a bedroom community now. as home prices in Silicon Valley soared people moved south to Gilroy, we are on the edge of the county. as the prices rise here,some residents had to move out of the county because they could not afford homes here.

Garlic was brought here by Mr Hirosaki. people thought he was nuts,because in those days they thought who would grow garlic as a crop! because he was Japanese he was interred during WWII. a friend of his Mr Gubser watched the crops. when he returned there were two garlic growers now. . in the late 70's Mr Filice and Rudy Melone thought to have a small festival to celebrate the garlic harvest in July. and so it grew. who knew! we don't grow as much Garlic now, but we process tons.
