This weekend I attended a lovely baby shower with about 20 women. We varied in age from young moms to seniors. Everyone was dressed in spring fashions.
Upon entering the home, many took off their shoes and put on fuzzy socks provided in a basket near the door. About half the guests kept their shoes on, as did I.
It struck me that the fuzzy sock people looked a bit silly in pretty spring dresses and feet in bright colors that didn't match. What is the point of purchasing fashionable shoes and ditching them at the door?
There was no difference in the age group choosing socks, so it wasn't an age thing. The hostess didn't seem to care either way, although she was barefoot! What do you think???
