I'm in Texas and even with our scorching heat I don't see a lot of shirtless men. However, there is one sight burned into my eyeballs that I may never be rid of....

In my previous suburban neighborhood, there was a stocky man of Eastern European (think Czech, Romania, Poland, etc.) descent who went for a vigorous and highly animated walk every morning. He was extremely hairy, especially on his chest, back and arms. Wore nothing but a tiny pair of red shorts and tennis shoes while he swung his arms to and fro -- had a big grin on his face as he traveled along one of the busiest streets in the area. It was one of those "look/don't look" moments.

@Chrystaltree2. Yeah, right, not an office setting. Coulda fooled me & a lot of other people. Guess those offices, desks, chairs, copiers & computers are just an illusion.

@Chrystaltree2 I beg to differ. The administration part of the college is an office setting - it certainly is at the college where I went. Students coming for interviews, alumni doing business with the school, fundraising, etc. my college administrative staff is certainly in business attire, even those in charge of the alumni magazine.

I'm thinking Apple might allow employees to wear shorts to work - look how casual Steve Jobs was at work.

Ugh...summer....shirtless men and to much skin on women showing.....my neighbor across the stree thinks it is OK to mow shirtless, he does not have the body for that look.

I just have to look away, my husband would never get away with going shirtless....not that he has any desire to but if he did I would nicely explain why he should not do it.

If the man looks good without a shirt, I'm all for it. If the man weighs 300 pounds, no way.

I walk during my lunch break and there's a regular route that I follow. There's an older man who's quite a bit overweight and who mows his postage-sized yard with a huge riding mower....short shorts and no shirt. I always think that maybe he should be using a push-mower to get a bit of exercise. Ick. Just ick. Nothing like man-boobs and a huge belly to turn me off of lunch!
