Has anyone else run into this with items ordered from Amazon? An order was supposed to be delivered 5/10/14 but I haven't received it. I looked up tracking info to see when I could expect delivery & noticed that the order was initially shipped via UPS by Amazon, they passed the order off to FedEx, who passed it off to the postal service. Per tracking info, the dang order has been out for delivery for 3 days now!

FedEx and UPS need to merge and just be called FedUp! Never even seen it switch between two shippers much less three. I hope you get the order soon.

Its a nightmare! I lost a package from Coldwater Creek that was delivered Smartpost.Tracking said that UPS gave it to the Post Office, never received it..finally called CWC and they sent another package by UPS ground. I told them I would only order with UPS, period. It also happened with Amazon..it takes an extra day or two when the package was just 10 minutes away. More and more companies are using this system. My latest package from HSN was from Fed Ex to the USPS. Thankfully I got it saturday!

I don't understand how companies are saving on shipping when it transfers through three different shippers...my stuff takes trips like that, too....its ridiculous....

Agree!
Why is the U.S. Mail delivering FedEx and UPS packages now?

Yes. Smartpost and surepost both, are very imperfect. As a matter of fact, I have had several of these kinds of issues with both. From different vendors too, including Amazon and QVC, and others as well.
Today I received a package containing jewelry from QVC marked delivered on the 8th. It was stapled together with a note written in pen on the brown envelope, stating that it was delivered to the wrong address, opened by mistake and sorry.
I consider that an invasion of my privacy as all my info was contained on the slip inside. Can you not read the address on the package? I don't just rip packages open, if I haven't ordered them, either. Don't know who got it, but they were honest in giving back, so that makes me feel a little better, but what do you do about that?
It's disheartening, and troubling. I think it's a widespread problem.
