I was just at Cafe Press to get an aprong for my niece.  Well, I ened up paying as much in shipping as I did for the item.

Who really makes out in those scenarios?  UPS/FED EX?   Do they cut the vendor in?  It's just disgusting.  They take advantage of the customer who wants in their be that date.

This is one part of the holiday that drives me nuts!

Hi Deb Smiley Happy

ITA, it's ridiculous.  I wanted to order a piece of Polish stoneware not long ago and the shipping was more than the item.

The OP could have gotten a cheaper S/H fee by ordering this gift sooner.

Add me to the list of those who are upset with mailing costs!  I mailed a packagage to my son yesterday - from CTT to Utah - a box about 10x12 - weighing just under 5 lbs.  Cost me $18.96!!!!   More than the worth of the contents.   Rediculous!!!!

Is the high shipping because you had to select a faster option instead of the standard?  If you had ordered sooner, would the shipping have been lower?

I've ordered from them in the past and didn't have high shipping.

International postage is the worst. I sent a small item in a padded envelope to Canada and it was 11.00....

I have done almost all my shopping by internet this year. I can actually say that absolutely ALL of my shipping has been F R E E!! I refuse to pay shipping for anything anymore. So many companies offer free shipping, I can't understand why anyone would ever pay for shipping. Woman Happy

I can count on my one hand the number of times I pay shipping when I buy online.  I can almost always find a free shipping code if by some chance the company doesn't already offer it.    I bought a ton of stuff from Macy's last weekend and anything over $25 shipped free.

Re: Shipping rip offs

[ Edited ]

I won't pay shipping on anything unless it's the only place I can find something I'm looking for.

If I really, really need something then I'll go to a B & M but most of what I am shopping for can wait for the time it takes to be delivered free.

Only once did I encounter a place where the shipping was more than the item and I wouldn't buy it.

While I can understand OP's frustration at high shipping fees, there is the option of not ordering the item if you feel the S/H is too high.
