Please don't send me an email saying that my item has shipped when the only thing that has been done is "a label has been created" and that's it.

I received an email on 6/8/23 (ordered 6/7) regarding a food item that said this and the status has not changed.  I know QVC has no control over what the vendor says but I feel they should at least give them guidance on shipping and notification.

I'll get over it but it still this doesn't help with my opinion of the bad shipping problems.

@grandma2pkmh .  That is a very common practice for retailers who ship to generate labels then the items are picked up or they bring to the shipper in bulk.

Usually a day or two lapses after a label is generated depending on business days or not.

@grandma2pkmh I understand what you are saying. I shop for almost everything online. Every company I purchase from does this. They have been able to create a label within their business, we can do it as well at home. Because of this it is automatically generated. Usually however, it will say something like a "label has been created".

You just have to keep checking if you are so inclined to want daily information. I personally don't track my orders daily unless I am going out of town and need to know if I need to ask someone to get the package off my porch.

These notification at least tell me the business has my order and it's not lost somewhere, and it will actually ship soon.

***I have ordered from a seller on Ebay that creates a label and doesn't actually ship for a week.

All online retailers do that.  I think everyone understands that label created doesn't mean that the item was sent out.  I take it to mean that the item I ordered is in stock and will go out.

That is annoying, particularly with food.

Twice it was around 10-11 days, still not shipped.  QVC resent the orders.  Received in a few days.

Re: Shipped ?? Really??

@grandma2pkmh  I understand your frustration. I placed an order with QVC for a summer weight blanket, a well known brand. I waited two weeks while the tracking information stated that the label had been created. No further information after that. I phoned QVC Customer Service, they looked at the tracking information (or in this case, lack of it), and said they would have the blanket sent out again, since it was never shipped. Unbelievable, but the same thing happened again! Still, no tracking information, only stated label created, and no blanket after a couple of weeks. The blanket was showing "in stock" on both occasions. After wasting over a month, QVC just refunded my money. My item appeared to be handled by a private Vendor. I normally have good shipping experiences with QVC, but this one unreceived item was an exception. A+, however, to QVC's Customer Service Representatives.

Today I got an email that says UPS couldn't deliver my L&L today due to holiday closures.

LOL, what holiday?

They just need to wait to send the email when the item has actually shipped. Don't send an email because you made a shipping label??? It's not that difficult but some companies don't get it?

I have a QVC order that supposedly "shipped" on June 1.  But there is no tracking whatsoever.  It seems a UPS label was created and it has gone no where.  The QVC social team told me that if I don't get it by the Estimated Delivery Date, which is tomorrow, to contact them again.  This is actually a Father's Day gift.  Wonder what is going on with it.

@grandma2pkmh

That is the primary reason I have purchased zero since the early 2,000's. Amazon gets 98% of what I buy, and I am rarely disappointed in any aspect of their service.

In my view? Nothing has changed since my last purchase. Deal, or find another place to spend your money.  Just to be clear, venting is fine with me!
