Shih-Tzu Owners

Hi, I have two shih tzu's. My older one is a girl who is five. Her eyes started to water off and on. I would wipe them and cut the hair out of that area for her. But it has gotton worse. Now her white face is a rusty color and there is an awful scent to the wetness at the eye. I had my vet look at her before and she was given eye drops.

I'm going to make an appointment with an optimologist for dogs at a vet hospital. Do any of you that have this breed have eye issues? The watery eyes and bad scent is just awful and I feel so helpless and worried for my little girl. Please let me know. Thanks
