Poor little one. She has to be confused about what's happened to her and why she's in pain. I'm all for spaying, but It is a major surgery that they have no way of understanding. I always hated to put my dogs through it, but so relieved when they would recover.

Hope she springs back soon and the memory of the event fades quickly. After all, she has those rascally deer to keep an eye on.

I was thinking about her, earlier.  Glad she's doing pretty much ok.

I was going to remark, as to the 'cone' thing, in case they put one of those hard plastic cones on her.   I've always been pretty much a boy mom soI haven't had a girl pet in ages.

But I recall when Rupert got his operation and he came home with one of those cones on.  OMG, it was horrible!  He kept running it into everything and, finally, he just stopped and stood there hanging his head.  He just didn't want to move anymore.

Well, I went to work to look for better choices and that was when I discovered the 'Comfy Cone', so maybe that can help somebody else.

It's soft and you velcro it together.  When he would run into something it didn't jolt or hurt him like with that hard plastic one.    It was just so worth it.

Glad your little girl is home and on the mend!  💖

Hope Willow is feeling better soon. I got one of the collars posted here when my last dog was spayed and they work very well. All of my female dogs got over the spaying easier than I thought they would. Hope Willow does too.

@MamaWick I am glad that you have given us an update on Willow.  My little man had to wear the cone of shame.  Buddy was sore and had to be on antibiotics for 10 days and also whimpered if you picked him up.  He got sick and vomited in his cone on the way home that night from surgery.  It is quite the process and I will keep you in prayer for strength and healing for our Willow.  Buddy would lose teeth and play with his.

Oh...my heart breaks looking at those sad eyes on Wee Willow.  I am glad she is home..  Lots of cuddles and. kisses will reassure her that all will be well soon.  You are such good parents for attending to her needs, but I know it is hard when our furry family hurts.  Sending much love and thoughts of recovery for the Wick family.💓

@MamaWick

Thank you for the update.  I'm so glad all went well for Sweet Willow.  Bless her little doggie heart.  Heart

Looks like she was able to eat so that's good.  I hope she sleeps well through the night, peacefully.

Sweet Willow:  I just have to say, your large eyes are gorgeous.  Wish I could give you comfort hugs.   Heart

Thanks for sharing.
