Yes! The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee is one of my favorite charities. Been giving to them for years. There are so many wonderful stories connested there. I'm so happy we share a reverence for elephants.

@songbird Thank you for sharing this! I can't see an elephant without tears coming to my eyes,they are so so special.

Last year for my birthday my daughter took me to a place where you can interact with elephants. I had the privilege of washing one and petting 4 elephants. An unforgettable experience with gentle,intelligent creatures.

Elephants remember you by your scent. All humans have smell that are totally different from each individual. If you are in a group of people, the elephant will come up to you (if you encountered that elephant before) They will remember you as an indvidual
