Madonna has created a spoof video apologizing for her now infamous hatred of hydrangeas. In case you missed it, here's the backstory: When Madonna was at a press conference at the Venice Film Festival, the Material Girl graciously accepted hydrangeas from a fan. But once the fan walked away, she rolled her eyes and whispered to the person next to her, "I absolutely loathe hydrangeas." Little did she know that her side comment was picked up by the microphone in front her. After the YouTube video of her hydrangea hating went viral (it's received nearly 2.5 million views), Madonna took a lot of heat for badmouthing a fan's gift. But as we all know, Madge doesn't stand down to anyone. She created a silent film-style video of her own, sarcastically titled, "Madonna's Love Letter to Hydrangeas." The black-and-white miniflick begins with Madonna hugging hydrangeas and subtitles that read, "You have no idea how many nights I have lost thinking about how I hurt you. . . . If I could take back my words I would but I can't, so what am I left with?" And then the punch line: "I'm left with the fact I still hate hydrangeas! And I will always hate them!" Social media love the video. @saracinadesigns tweeted, "I don't like hydrangeas but I do love #Madonna."
