I am posting this because SOME implied my daughter doesn't really want a job, I am enabling her, or whatever.
I took her last week to apply in person for a job at a veterinarian. It was a part-time job cleaning kennels. It was 16 miles and 45 minutes to 1 hour away. It was a minimum wage job.
She was very excited to even go apply, and she dressed nicely. I drove her there and waited in the car for her. She just filled out an application.
She received an e-mail yesterday that she was NOT chosen to even come in for an interview. She is more than qualified, as she has a college degree, and we have 6 cats and 1 dog. She is quite experienced with animals. She now feels something is wrong with HER.
This IS what it is like out there for jobs.
