I have a friend who loves to brag about the trips she takes about every 3 or 4 months. She's always going somewhere overseas or some other state on her "vacation" She feels she has to constantly remind us ( there's 4 of us close friends since high school)  It's wonderful that she's able to travel and enjoy her life, she has family in other states and overseas and she earned her ability to travel. We are all happy for her but her bragging is over the top ! I have heard Shawn over the last few weeks talking about her travels again and I had to laugh because she reminds me of my friend. Enjoy your vacation Shawn and my friend !!

Not in any way, I repeat ! not in any way !!  I laughed about it, I simply said she reminded me of my friend in a fun sort of way. I have traveled many places and can still travel when I want to. I am in no way limited.

I was just getting a laugh out of it. I hope that clarifies it for you.

Sometimes when people brag about certain aspects of their lives, such as their kids, travel, job, marriage, etc., they are trying to make up for something they think others have that they themselves lack.  It gives them something to talk about that they think is interesting and positive, because their life isn't as good in other areas that they DON'T want to talk about.  JMO, of course.

And I didn't interpret your post as your being jealous whatsoever.

Shawn could present twice as many products if she'd stick to business and quit the nonsensical ramblings.   She doesn't wear well on a long show.  I get sick of listening to her which is why I rarely watch her.

Shawn makes me crazy!  Constantly changing her clothes, now she's on there with no bra. Ordering clothing on her phone, while a model is telling her the order number.  Enough already!

I love to travel as well.

I do not find anything laughable about talking about travel--for many of us, it is a very fun and wonderful topic, and we love to share. Of course, it is exciting to be planning to go somewhere, so it may be a priority in peoples' minds.

However, a lot of folks are not too enthusiastic about hearing about other friends' travels, and yes, they may be a bit envious. Just the fact that you used the word "brag" (just one "g", check your spelling), connotes a negative reaction.

I find many topics on this QVC forum somewhat sad, so I would hardly ever share my travel experiences here.

There are a lot of GREAT travel websites and forums where one can share with like-minded individuals. 

I know Shawn has a hectic work life and home life, so she probably really looks forward to her getaways!

P.S. Right now I am watching GSN and JTV, not QVC, because I love jewelry also!

 @ FancyPhillyshopper :  I was typing fast, sorry for the error in spelling so I corrected it. The word brag was not to be taken negative, it's a word many in my circle use in a laughing manor. I have nothing against traveling or talking about it, Shawn just reminded me of my friend in a laughable way and me and my friends laugh about our friend and her travel talk. We have all traveled together several times.  I hope Shawn enjoys her trip and my friend will certainly come back to tell us about it. For me this was just a laughable post. On to watching Laura Geller TSV !

@Goodie2Shoes…I completely get u. I watched the same show tonite. I lost count of how many times Shawn mentioned her vaca and London. 5,6,7 times?
It became excessive. Stop explaining to the posters that say you’re jealous. If your post was read correctly, u would understand u were comparing Shawn to your friend.

It's no surprise that Shawn is excited about her trip to England. She has mentioned many times her fascination and love of all things British. This is, no doubt, a very special vacation for her. Good for her. 

I'm more of a homebody, but some are born to roam. I've friends who visit other countries two/three times a year, plus travel throughout the US. And, of course, they always have travel stories to tell.

I don't consider them to be bragging. It's just a way of life for them that they enjoy sharing.
