It definitely seems to be a popular item, but the guy presenting it to Shark Tank has had to share the riches with a lot of people. If a shark investor had taken the deal, the shark might have gotten very little.
I've seen the sharks turn down deals because of multiple investors already involved in the product. So if this was the case with the Ring deal then I understand why they said no.
