Shabbat Shalom and Happy Weekend to All - Friday Jan 17

Hi everyone,

Shabbat Shalom to all who observe, and a happy weekend to all.

May you be blessed with the love and warmth of family and friends every day of the year, not just on holidays.

Sending prayers of healing and strength to you and your loved ones.

May your burdens and worries blow away with the wind.

To those of you having health and family issues, may everything turn out well. May your medical tests come back with happy results. May the test results of the friends of your friends come back okay as well.

Many prayers for our country's well being. Bless the leaders who keep our country strong.

Good thoughts and thanks to our military. May they come home safely and SOON. Bless all the servicemen that didn't make it home; and to those who are serving, thank you for being there to protect our safety.

If a storm is coming your way, stay warm and safe. Don't drive if they tell you to stay off the roads, and may the predicted storms never be as bad as they say they will.

Special prayers for all the children...may they have good health, enough to eat and drink, a warm bed, and the abiding love of parents and family who will protect them. May the children survive and thrive. No child should ever go to bed hungry, nor should anyone else in this country. Help the food banks if you can. Even a little helps.

Do a good deed for a stranger. They'll feel good, and you'll feel better.

May this new year find you all surrounded by the love of your family and friends, in good health and never in need of anything that's important.

May the best of everything come your way, today and every day.

Sunny

Re: Shabbat Shalom and Happy Weekend to All - Friday Jan 17

Shabbat Shalom dear Sunny and all who observe. I hope everyone has a safe and peaceful weekend. If you have a 3 day weekend enjoy. I hope we all remember and give thanks to the father of the civil rights movement MLK.

I pray for our military our first responders and their brave families. So much needs to be done to help and assist the vets from all wars find employment and shelter. These men and women need and deserve help.

I pray for my chemo buddy Jo and all others who are fighting the battles of and for their lives.

As always, I pray for the homeless, the helpless, the mentally ill, the downtrodden. The frigid weather makes me more aware than ever of the plight of the poor and the working poor. We actually have children living in cars or worse. Hungry children should be unthinkable and unimaginable in this great nation. Help someone if you can. Smile at someone. I promise you will feel better for it.

Sunny my sweet sister I thank you for this wonderful thread. It allows me to share some thoughts with some lovely people.

Shabbat Shalom to all who observe and my wishes for a happy, safe weekend.

I add additional prayers for the families of the military, who also serve by the side of their loved ones. Also for our veterans who have faced adversity and horrors only they can know, whose lives have been changed forever, who make up a large percentage of our homeless and hungry, and who deserve the care and support of their grateful fellow Americans.

Sending prayers and hopes for an abundance of love, joy, and comfort to all who read and post here.

For those who are healing, a favorite quote and a reassuring reminder:

"When the Japanese mend broken objects, they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold. They believe that when something's suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful." (Barbara Bloom)

Shabbat Shalom and Happy Weekend to all!

My special prayer this week is for all who put it on the line for us everyday, our military, our police, our firefighters and our EMS providers.

I pray that someday we will live in a world where no child wants for a clean, warm and safe place to live, enough food to eat, or unconditional love.

I pray that animal shelters will cease to exist, because there are no longer any throw-away animals.

And I pray for those who live on the streets, many of them veterans, regardless of the reason. May they find peace and comfort.

Thanks to Sunny for this thread, and to all who post here for making my Fridays a little more special.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Food for the hungry, both humans and animals...shelter for the homeless...homes for the homeless...jobs for the unemployed...safety for first responders...no-kill shelters for animals...homes for homeless animals...healing of the sick...aid for victims of natural disasters...blessings along with gratitude for our military and their families...health care for ALL...equality for ALL...prosperity for ALL…..regulations on the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breathe…..respect for Mother Earth...compassion for the less fortunate........love....PEACE. May good fortune and prosperity trickle down to ALL. Fair and decent and adequate wages for ALL to keep families well supported.

Blessings of healing requested for my family members in need.

May the healing needs of all the sick and/or suffering be met.

Blessings the food pantries and banks are kept full with food and donations. Blessings people are supplied all they need for their families to have three meals a day. No child should go to school or go to bed on an empty stomach.

Blessings the animal shelters are kept full with food and donations. No animal’s ribs should show. Blessings for humane practices for farm animals. No animal should be abused. An end to fur farms, an end to horse, dog and cat meat throughout the world, and an end to poaching.

Prayers for a mild winter to make it easier for homeless people and pets to get through.

Prayer that all the needs from natural disasters are met.

Gratitude for prayers answered.

Strength and courage for those missing a loved one.

Be careful, safe and warm in this treacherous weather. Lives have already been lost, unfortunately. Don’t take chances.

May your troubles be less, may your blessings be more, and may nothing but happiness come through your door.

Count your blessings..."Pay it forward."

Filly

Welcome to ALL who come to our precious, loving place. May you all have a sweet and safe week. Special hugs to dooBdoo. I'm sending good thoughts and wishes to you. Thank you Donna for your soul-satisfying treats. Special prayers and wishes for the medical challenges my twin granddaughters are going through right now. One is healing from an orthopedic injury due to an icy parking lot and the other is having her tonsils out in a few days. Does any one know how to get a Grandma to stop worrying? If you have discovered ways to help stop worrying about your grandchildren, please share. May you all be safe from the challenges of this Winter weather.
