Re: Severe Weather - Michigan - Sunday 8-2

@10sluvr

I'm hoping for some rain too.  With all the trees around my house, I won't mind if the straight line winds peter out before they get here. :-)

It has just started to the west of you. So far it has been a spectacular lightening show. Not raining, yet.

OOps, spoke about a second too soon. It is now raining quite hard, still great thunder and lightening. My friend who lives just east of me has no TV, internet, etc. I just went around lighting candles just in case.

I think it blew through Flint and is hitting Fenton. Oh boy, they just said to move patio furniture. Better get the small table and 2 chairs in. Why didn't I think of that earlier.. Oofdah!

Here in NorthEast Michigan, all the bad weather has passed through.  But boy oh boy was it nasty this morning and all through the afternoon!  Just north in Presque Isle county, there were trees down, one on a house and one on a car.  The Nautical Festival was hit hard- all the beer tents came down! Not funny for all those beer drinkers!  Thankfully no reports of any injuries.  Still windy with occasional lightning flashes on and off and scattered thunderstorms predicted throughout the night.  I have the flashlights and candles ready.  Sure hope I don't hear the weather radio go off again...

Tomorrows forcast looks beautiful.

Looks like from the radar it's heading down the eastern side of the state.

I am 25 miles north of Detroit - Rochester Hills.  At 10:20, we have lightening, no thunder or rain and eerily calm winds.  Hope this is as bad as it gets!

@Bird mama

Yikes, a funnel cloud!  I grew up in Northern Ohio and I swear we lived half our young lives in the basement during the summer!  Those tornados loved the Maumee River.
