Re: Serena v Venus @ the Open

Please tell me Im not alone here!!  Does anybody really believe that Venus will try to beat Serena?  Can you imagine the family if Venus actually stops her chances of winning the 'Grand Slam'?  Lets be real here!!

There will be a lot of people watching this match tonight.  If Venus intentionally tanked the match, I think it would be obvious to many viewers.

Re: Serena v Venus @ the Open

Never been in a situation with sibling rivelry, but I've witnessed it for years.  These women were taught to compete with all their hearts.  I think that's what will happen.  They know each other and are going to work each other because of that.  Winner ... Lord only knows and I pray the family is proud no matter the outcome.  These women have earned that!

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

No way would Venus roll over and let serena win. They are both hard working quality players.

I'd say that if Serena were to lose she'd rather it be to her sister than someone else.

Queen I agree with you 100%.  No way will Venus lose.  She will find a way to "not look like she is tanking".     Also I love watching the US Open and have to say I am fed up with the press that has been given these two during other matches.     Kind of insulting to the other players.    I cannot stand Serena... hope she loses but doubt it...

By the time they actually start this match, I'm going to be asleep.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

ITA! These two shouldn't play each other because we all know Venus will lose intentionally.Sad, but true.
