ITA! She's almost beyond amazing. I really wanted her to win...and really wanted to have America represent...and strong women of color. She's the total package. ? Next....Olympics
I kind of wonder if she won't retire after the Olympics.

Serena's got game. She's not done !
What a year she'd had !
YES, the sore LOSER is done!
Wow...are Bitter Biscuits being served? Or does Serena owe you money or something?
Bitter biscuits? LOL! READ post #78. Spells it out, plain and simple.

I am very happy for the Italian ladies. It just goes to show you that brute force doesn't always win tennis matches. Skill is much more important.
I love tennis and this has been a great US Open.
EXCELLENT post! ITA with all your comments about Serena. She's self-centered, rude, arrogant, and she did act like a jerk at the press conference - not surprising. No one should be able to dictate which questions can or can't be asked.

Wonderful post, and I agree! I read that the Italian Prime Minister will be in the stands in New York today to watch the match.

I don't know about her coach, but she REALLY needs to get a BETTER attitude.

I am starting to wonder about the age of one of the posters on this thread. The multiple "snarky" posts by one on this subject shows a high level of immaturity.
Congratulations to the Italian player who won her match.

I totally agree.I have been playing tennis all my life and have taught tennis to many young students. I have never used these sisters as an example of good behavior on the court. Serena could learn some court etiquette from Chris Everett - the greatest woman tennis player of all time - and the most gracious. I watched her play tennis growing up as a child and wanted to be like her on the court.

Yes, I admired Chris Everett as well....I think my first tennis racket was branded with her name....not to mention, we can credit her with the diamond tennis bracelet! I am happy for the Italian ladies, I spend a good amount of time there....maybe we are entering a new era in tennis....

ITA 100%. Chris Everett is the PERFECT example of a classy, gracious woman. SW is FAR from it.
