Separate orders. Separate days. Shipped together.

[ Edited ]

Separate orders. SOME from separate days. Shipped together. I didn't know that Q did this. They are D & Co and one Graver.
I just received these orders yesterday. I don't recall this ever happening before.

@Mindy D    Amazon does this all the time....BUT, I opt for the free shipping.

If I was paying shipping for EACH item, I would be more than annoyed.   di

Re: Separate orders. Separate days. Shipped together.

@Mindy D QVC has been doing this for some time.  I posted about this in the threads complaining about how QVC now does not identify the price of each item in order status where the order includes several items.  (Did they change this?  I haven't checked.) Posters wrote they would "punish" QVC by ordering individual items separately thinking this would cost QVC more because they assumed qvc ships in accordance with each order.  But QVC does not ship items in packages that match our orders.  On occasion, I have ordered multiples of identical items (same size and color), and QVC shipped individually on separate days.  Also, items from different orders are often shipped together with some items from a different order.  I don't think this was true when I started shopping here about 25 years ago, but it has been true for some time.  I don't understand why they can't grab 3 bras, same size and color, and ship them in one package.  Instead, a couple are shipped individually, a third one shipped in a package together with items from a totally different order.  Just odd.

On the other hand, I am glad that QVC now allows us to return items from different orders in one package.  They didn't use to allow that.

@NYCLatinaMe I have always been able to return multiple items in one package. This goes way back to the 80's. I rarely make returns, but usually, those last 3 months of the year when you have until 1/31 to make returns, I may have more than one item to return. I just made a copy of my orders for each item, placed them all in one package with the copy, and shipped on my own. I think that is the key. It was also much cheaper that way. I never had a problem. You did have to make sure though you did not combine jewelry, home items and apparel as they all go to different addresses.

@cjm61

It looks like we have had different experiences.  In one of my first few orders with QVC (I believe early 1990s), an order for multiple items was shipped in separate packages.  I returned several items in one package (matching my order), and only received credit for one.  I called customer service and was told I could only return items in one package if they were sent to me in one package, in other words, the returns would have to match QVC's packaging to me.  They did ask me what items I returned and gave me credit for all of them.  They told me not to do that again.  I only learned I could return in one package items sent to me in different packages a few years ago, I believe from the mods on this board.

@NYCLatinaMe That is odd. I rarely return anything but I have done it probably 3x in the last 35 years. They never told me I couldn't. Maybe, the items I just happen to return, come from the same warehouse so it was no big deal.

@NYCLatinaMe    Times have changed.  I often return multiple items in the same packages, as long as they're all in the same category like clothing.  The rule, as has been stated by the mods, is that a second item rides free with no charge for return shipping.  Beyond that, you're supposed to be charged for each item.

I don't recall ever not returning multiple items in one package.  I question the policy that a CS rep gave you.  So many if them don't know what they're talking about.

@cjm61 I don't think my experience was odd or unique, given how many people asked questions and posted on these boards about the current policy for returns.  It was new to many other posters as well, which is how I learned about it.

Thanks to the posters!

@Mindy D    I've frequently gotten as many as 4 or 5 orders in one package, often a box of clothes.  It's not unusual at all.

@NYCLatinaMe I've returned things from different orders in the same box frequently.  It has never been an issue.  This is not something new.
