One family member sends checks every month. Ugh. 

Fill a check out carefully and properly, preventing others from altering it. 

Some people still insist on doing it the old-fashioned way, painstakingly writing many checks every month. After you get used to paying bills electronically or automatically, writing a check seems like such a nuisance. Zelle is great.

My son in law works in check fraud at a bank.  You wouldn't believe how much fraud is going on
