Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana has issued a restrained, dignified notice that his wife Susan has undergone surgery for the type of tumor that Senator John McCain has been fighting, malignant glioblastoma.

So sorry to hear of this-- this type of tumor seems more prevalent than I had realized.  Prayers for Mrs. Bayh and her family.

Thank God they are not very prevelant. As the prognosis with them is very poor. What a horrible thing to have to face. My heart goes out to both her and McCain.

That is so sad. I remember Senator Bayh’s father, Senator Birch Bayh, a good man. This horrible cancer has taken the lives of too many people...Joe Biden’s son, Ted Kennedy, and likely Senator McCain...and now another, Mrs. Bayh.

Teddy Kennedy and Beau Biden had the same type cancer. So sad, hopefully, medical researchers will one day make cancer a disease ppl only read of. I know not in my lifetime but soon...

Yes, prayers for her and the family.  Such a terrible blow.

A friend of mine died from such a tumor despite repeated surgeries.

She was diagnosed in December and gone in April of the following year.
