Just heard on the news, Former Senator Bob Dole has passed away in his sleep last night.  God speed Senator Dole.

I'm saddened to learn of this loss of an intrinsically good and principled soul.  There are not many of them left.

Senator Dole gained respect for his brave endurance despite a destructive wartime injury and his sense of humor.  He and Liddy were adorable together, and her loss will be deep.

I actually wasn't sure he was still alive. I feel going in your sleep is probably the best, most painless way to go, you may not be aware of it. May he Rest In Peace and may his memory be a blessing to his family.
