@vermint wrote:We just adopted a Lab/Great Pyrenese mix on Sunday, and are fortunate to be able to bring him to work with us. So...we've been taking walks at lunch. I work downtown in a small city, and it's just dead down here! I hadn't been out the front door of the office since all this started, so I was kind of shocked at the difference. We're taking advantage of less traffic and fewer people to do some serious dog-walking training. "Coach" is a big boy at 120 pounds, and he pulls on the leash! Anyway, the quiet is kind of eerie.
There are a number of Great Pyrenees in my neighborhood and one big guy has been sitting out on his front lawn every day as I pass by. Such a sweetie.

Awww! If he's anything like as sweet as mine, he's definitely a great dog. We're seeing a number of GP mixes here lately, mostly mixed with Lab.

What a great mix, @vermint . How old is the pup?

@suzyQ3 He's about 1 1/2...and those bigger dogs are slower to mature, lol! But he's such a sweetie pie. Loves everyone, including my 2 cats, who aren't too sure about him yet. He'll be good for me, though--makes me get up and go on walks whether I want to or not!

I go on a walk everyday in our neighborhood too. If I’m on the sidewalk and I see someone coming my way I (or sometimes the other person) go out onto the edge of the street (we don’t have many cars) and after passing each other go back to the sidewalk.
On my walk I saw - A child in our neighborhood had decorated their sidewalk and then left a plastic bag of chalk with a little sign asking others to add to their decoration. Another person’s driveway had in big chalk letters “We love you Grandma”. I thought that was sweet that her grandchildren had done that.

@vermint I have a friend who has a Great Pyrenees named Wolfgang. She says it takes hours for him to dry after a bath. He's a sweetheart.
