Seeing former Pres. Bush's train go through the countryside..

reminds me of the train of Robert Kennedy's train trip back to his home. I love to see the people out by the tracks with their flags, and all the cars, and trucks pulled over on the side of the road to pay their respects too.  Very interesting, and touching. So many people.

i have seen pictures of FDR's funeral train going through small towns - never forgot them. i love that they put a plexiglass window in the car so people can see the flag-draped coffin and honor guard.  history.

I had no idea this was ever done.  I think it is the coolest thing!

i think it started with Pres Lincoln, then US Grant, FDR, Ike and now 41.
