Better get your snow shovel warmed up!

I hope this weather system gets to our area, north central NC. We've had only one snowfall this winter and it came quite early. We had a family event planned with most people coming from PA. That weekend we had a foot of snow and had to cancel the party. Since then the weather has been quite mild. Usually we get winter weather in Jan. and Feb., so there is still time for snow!

Darn! I just got out of the house today after the last snow. Kids in my neighborhood went back to school today.

I don't think that there are many snowplows for I-5 in the Seattle region so it's best not to drive unless necessary. In the greater Vancouver, B.C. area I'm sure we will be shoveling snow this weekend. The last snow event was very light and powdery snow and it didn't stick around very long. We have 4 snow shovels bought over the years. The last few years I shoveled a lot of snow. I am hoping this year will be different!

Where have you been for the last 4 days? In my area of Seattle it snowed from noonish Sunday on into Monday late morn, 20+ hrs nonstop. It has been a slick frozen mess here since, hasnt warmed up temp wise to melt it much except where the sun has shone on it yesterday and today. But still cold as all get out for sure. We are in for another hit this weekend and another one early next week.
It has been beautiful since the sun came out yesterday and today, still very dangerous tho.

@TY. Have you ever driven the Coquihalla Highway which is in your part of BC? For some time, I've been addicted to the TV series "Highway Through Hell" (Netflix) about your blizzards and the wreckers who clean up the horrendous tractor trailer wrecks resulting from the weather. There's something about the way they wrangle those semis that fascinates me.
Everytime I hear about snow in the PNW or the Cascades, I wonder if there's a mess up on the Coq. I bet they're busy now.

Love Seattle! Good luck with the snow.
We are expecting a mess Friday as well but this time ours will be freezing rain. LM

I haven't been out since last week. Snowbound on a private road and no one has driven out. Guess I won't be going anywhere for the next 3 weeks. It will take that long unless we get rain afterward. It's pretty but it's very cold here compared to what we normally have.

@this is my nic, same here. We got one last year which was mainly an ice storm and not fun. But I would love a nice storm before winter is over. It doesnt have to be a treacherous one.
