@ValuSkr This round is over... now we have streets that remain unplowed and no one can get out of their neighbor hoods in many cases. The temps are to 40... melting the snow to ice and slush slurry about 8 inches deep. Cities do not plow anything except the main arterials.
No mail delivery for three days now..where I live..... I have not seen any trucks or cars on my road. Some cars are stuck from days ago.
I heard that we may be in for another storm next week... I hope not.....
My mail has made it through so far but I have had no trash pick-up for two weeks. The plow coming through did not do me any favors. The street is very icy in front of my house. Hope the predicted rain comes - that may help to melt some of this. I was so happy to get out yesterday with my neighbor. She had a hard time getting out to the main streets with 4WD and she has had lots of experience in the snow. I am just thankful I am nice and warm as many are without power.

I was just told that there’s 10 inches of snow in my driveway presently and that there was 21 inches of snowfall overall in the neighborhood. People are going nuts with being housebound.
Light rain in AZ today.

I am one of them going nuts! Trader Joe's last night was like a party. Everyone so happy to be out!

rainyday girl---I remember that one too--my kids were in grade school and a neighbor trudged the 1/2 mile to the school and got both of them with his kids and walked them home--the hubs spent hours trapped on the freeway and finally made it home.

Well, things are looking promising in Northeast Seattle. For the first time in almost 2 weeks I left my cul de sac yesterday. We still have lots of snow there and it has built up, but with more people venturing out, we now have more tracks in the easement. However, my cul de sac easement in on an incline and so is my driveway. I got out more easily than I got back in. The worst was getting stuck in my uncleared driveway. I tried several times to get into my garage, and finally backed up clear across the easement into my neighbor's driveway. Then i gunned it, slide all over the place, but finally got up my driveway and into my garage. Once out of my cul de sac, everything was fine as long as I didn't venture onto the unplowed side streets. I got all my errands done, even picked up a gift and got the prescription cat food. Mail was only skipped one day, but my Clark's shoes from QVC were delayed by over a week. Yesterday they arrived, but the driver didn't drive in to the cul de sac. He parked and walked in. Then late afternoon we got rain, and it's only a matter of time before the rain melts the snow. Woo hoo!

I am still not out. I went out this morning to see if I could move of the mess that the snow plow had left and it was frozen solid and would have damaged my car if I tried to go over it. Checked again this afternoon and it was softer and slushy but too heavy for me to push or use a snow shovel on so I resorted to Indian war dance to squish all the big slabs of snow. I can probably drive over it tomorrow.
