I hope something significant breaks this week in this case. It would be just awful if this case goes cold.
RIP Gabby

He will get caught sooner or later. He doesn't have unlimited cash funds and burner phones. At some point the FBI will probably catch his parents trying to get money to him. He may be hiding somewhere now but eventually he will have to come out of hiding and someone will spot him. It may take time but I have no doubt that he will slip up and do something to get caught.

The guy that claims to have seen Brian on the Appalachian Trail in NC, said that 'Brian' asked him an odd question. He said it was dark out, so he couldn't really see 'Brian's' features, but he told him that he had a fight with his girlfriend and that he has to get to CA. 'Brian' asked the man if he could recommend a route to CA that would be off the beaten track. Red flag #1. The guy gave him a suggestion for a route and 'Brian' went on his way. Later on, when the man reviewed film clips of Brian and Gabby, he said that Brian's voice was identical to the man he met on the trail. Red flag #2. He said he has no doubt that it was Brian Laundrie. The man also feels that he is a reliable source of information as he is an educated professional and is not simply looking for his 15 minutes of fame. The man said that he called both 911 and the FBI, but no one has gotten back to him. They must have tons of tips to follow up on, but this one sounds legit.

@Northern Belle 2 I read about this tip and thought this man sounded legit, too. I thik the authorities have made a big mistake by not following up with this guy.

NYPost - Dog the Bounty Hunter turns over evidence about Brian Laundrie to authorities
"Dog" said he hoped it can be examined for DNA to prove fugitive Brian Laundrie’s presence at a Florida park, The Post has learned.
Duane “Dog” Chapman, who has been working to confirm a tip about a recent Laundrie sighting near the Appalachian Trail, handed over some items found on one of the islands near Fort De Soto Park.
The bounty hunter also has had an off-duty police officer embedded in his team the past few days, a rep said.
“Tracking a fugitive is a marathon, not a sprint,” Dog said. “We are continuing to search for Brian Laundrie. The longer he is on the run, the more dangerous this becomes.”
Meanwhile, his daughter Lyssa Chapman told The Post on Sunday that she has been in contact with Dennis Davis, who claims he spoke with Laundrie on a deserted road near the border of Tennessee and North Carolina on Saturday morning.

It could be that the F B eye has been following that tip without getting back in touch with the person.
Better to keep the info to themselves for now.
Just guessing, of course.

While on a walk, I thought of something:
Re: These people who had sightings:
Have any of them taken videos/photos via their phones/gadgets?

I still cannot believe that the authorities weren't watching him after Gabby was reported missing and he had been traveling with her.
If he hadn't killed her, he wouldn't be on the run. He and his "accessory after the act" parents belong in jail.
My heart breaks for Gabby's family.
