If it turns out they are protecting or harboring him somewhere, they can be criminally charged.
I wouldn't be surprised if he took his own life. Talk about a spat between lovers spiraling out of control.
I have watched soaps for year and nothing remotely resembles the inept handling of this entire case.
I don't know much about the law, but I wonder why they couldn't bring him in for some questioning when he first returned?
John Walsh was on Anderson Cooper tonight and he labeled Brian as a sociopathic abuser. He was hitting Gabby and a gentleman called 911 to report the abuse. Apparently, the police who stopped them in August knew nothing of this and Gabby was afraid she would incriminate Brian so she chose to say she was the aggressor...classic abused woman syndrome. She never told the police she was the victim.
His family covered for him @Karie2022 . They were escorted out of their home today while a search warrant was served. John Walsh said they may be thrown in prison and cited other cases where family is serving time for obstructing justice...

@riley1 Yes, they are. One of my sons went to college with a guy who is now a marshall and stays in touch. Good for your daughter. Bet that was an experience.

Hey, wouldn't it be something if I was right after all.
Cuba is fairly close to Florida. Right?
He had the legal right to travel anywhere. Right?
Someone here mentioned no extradition re: Cuba. So, it is a possibility.
Maybe there are daily small cruise and other ships / boats to Cuba. I don't know, of course.
Well, we'll see. And just maybe my thoughts weren't as silly as some have thought.

They're talking about now hauling the parents up before a grand jury.
I just got the gist of it, but, they're gonna start putting the screws to the parents. Which I think they should.

It will come out in the wash. LOL
I couldn't find that report on Newsmax or anywhere else.
The closest thing I found was Newsweek reported ..
People are wondering if his parents could possibly face charges like obstruction of justice, although thus far authorities have given no indication they committed any crime.
However, if his parents were being intentionally untruthful or withholding pertinent evidence in regards to what they know about Brian's current whereabouts or Petito's disappearance, they could have committed crimes, including obstruction of justice.

You are correct so many questions .
It will be interesting to see how the story that the other Utube lady told the FBI that she & her boyfriend picked Brian up on ? Aug 27th as he was hitch hiking and offered them $200 to drive him 10 miles . They were heading to Jackson Hole Wy and he said he had been hiking the snake river . Then suddenly he asked they stop the vehicle and they let him out .
I don't believe her story at all. She supposedly posted this story on TikTok and her Youtube channel. I don't recall seeing anywhere that she told this story to the FBI. The authorities said they haven't been able to verify her story.
What kind of a person would allow someone into their vehicle under such bizarre circumstances. She's probably just trying to get attention for her Youtube channel.

I saw the evening news but they made no mention of this. I hope they do. Law enforcement has other measures they can take when dealing with individuals who won't cooperative in an investigation. They still don't have to talk, but sitting in jail for a while for perjury or hindering prosecution or obstruction of justice is just another way @SharkE . I said this before and was called out for it. It can be done and in this case should be done.
Convening a grand jury to get an indictment on these charges might be easy at this point.

Uh, ok . Now I understand why no reputable news sources have reported this, lol.

Subpoena power that could compel them to talk/cooperate. It's part of our laws.
Others on here told me I was wrong. Which of course, I know I wasn't but hey......and that's not even Law and Order.
Thx!

It will all come out.
