THe problem with all of this is that 1200 years is nothing in the scope of the Earth's time and weather patterns and cycles.   The problem is that the weather patterns change no matter what people do or don't do.  Just look back and see through geologic time--ice ages, sudden warmings, ice caps grow and retreat, etc.   It is scary when you think about it.  Species adapt or don't; species become extinct etc.  Sometimes I wonder if DNA doen't just "over copy" itself and can't carry on. . .

The problem is that it is not, as claimed, usual.  It is unusual, no matter what the cause.

Sorry, I have no idea what you mean about DNA overcopying itself or not.  What do you mean?

Regarding an earlier comment from a poster:

World's Glaciers Melting At Fastest Rate Since Record-Keeping Began

"The research, published in the Journal of Glaciology, provides new evidence that climate change has spurred the rapid decline of thousands of the world's ice shelves over the past century".

"On average, the world's glaciers will lose 30 inches of ice thickness this year, Zemp said. That's twice the rate lost in the 1990s, and three times the rate lost in the 1980s."
