Their ice cream and French baguettes were really good.  Also good breakfast scones.

Sadly, a lot of their food is loaded with sodium.  They left Florida last December.   I do miss their treats.  We had a great driver, Doug.   Broke my heart when everyone was let go.

They just couldn't change their way when Kroger and others got into the business.

I ordered from Schwann's many years ago.  I've always hated cooking and I was glad to have their food delivered.  The guy that delivered was very kind.

Back then, there was no competition.  Now we have all these online services for pre-prepared food delivery.  Too much competition for Schwann's.  Sad that they are shutting down.

I also didn't know about the strange name change.

There was a commercial about the name change to Yelloh with an annoying boy letting out a long yell at a driver of the yellow truck, presumably because the child failed to understand the driver's explanation.🙄

I never bought from Schwann's but saw a truck now and then way back when. I remember the name change.

If Yelloh is shutting down in November the inventory must be dewindling.

Which makes me wonder what is left over and how orders can be completely filled.

When they were still Schwann's I enjoyed ordering from them. The quality was good and they were very good about refunding if you didn't like something. I felt the higher costs were for the convenience and they offered some excellent seasonal items.

I always ordered, 2x a month from Schwans.  They had the best pizzas, kids loved them, as did we all.  Many of their products, tho somewhat higher than a supermarket, were very tasty.  They were also known for the quality of their ice cream products.  Then the family sold out to a company who just cared about profits.  They cheapened the sauce used on pizzas and what they did to the quality of their ice cream, oh my.

My driver was an older man who had been with them for years and complained that the new "younger people"  were only interested in profits and not quality.  Look where that has gotten them.

Yes, it seems that home delivery of frozen foods went the way of the milkman.

SCHWANS is still in business..... they own such retail brands as edwards pies, red baron pizza, mrs smiths, and more.

they sold off their food delivery part of the business and that is why the name had to change to YELLOH (they came up with a DUMB name.)

i have been buying from the trucks for over thirty years. i was very disappointed to see them close their home delivery service. they had lots of great items and great customer service. i felt so badly for my driver. the end of an era for me.
