So, now the Monday holiday is a Friday AND Monday holiday?

 

These keep getting longer and longer.  Maybe they should go back to not having all these extra holiday days and go back to teaching grammar and spelling.

Field trips to the mall?  Oy!

 

We had a 7th grade field trip to San Francisco, to the acquarium and other interesting, and education sites, in that area.

 

In 8th grade we had a field trip to the State Capitol.  At that time Ronny Reagan was Governor and I remember touring the building and seeing the glass jars of jelly beans in his offices.  Smiley Happy

 

But that was the extent of the 'field trip' deal for us.  It was educational, historical, type of stuff.  Oh well - the times they are a changin'.
