@lynnie61  Thank you very much. When I found that fabric, I

thought that it would be perfect for a school dress.

In elementary school, I loved Science and Art.

In high school, it was Biology, Latin, French and Art.

@lbwshop  I'm glad that you enjoyed seeing Toni's school dresses. I also was in elementary school in the 50's and each year, I had a new plaid school dress. My mother was a child in the 1930's and I have a picture of her wearing a plaid dress.

I guess that plaid has been popular for a long time, for school

dresses and uniforms. In the 60's I went to a private girls' high school and my uniform skirt was plaid.

Last year, I posted two plaid Toni doll dresses. I'll post them again and I will notify you, when I do. Maybe this weekend or next week.

@Oznell   Thank you so much. The pink, mint and brown print dress is also my favorite of this group of dresses.

I do like to use fabrics that would have been used in the

era of the Toni dolls, which was the 1950's.

When styling their hair, I try to recreate the original doll's hairstyles.

@SportyShorty07

Thank you for all the very generous accolades. You are so sweet. It has always been fun for me to

put outfits together and to coordinate accessories.

Even as a little girl, I liked wearing jewelry that coordinated with my clothes. Back then a really dressy outfit (like for church) included a hat and gloves, and of course the right shoes and bag.

I have several pictures of me at three years old, with a little purse or cross body bag. I have carried a purse my whole life,

even as a young school girl.

It was fun to dress my three daughters when they were little. For Easter, their outfits included a hat, gloves a  little purse.

When I was working for the school department, I always coordinated my outfits. Many times I would decide what jewelry I would wear and then pick out complimenting clothes

and of course the right bag to carry with the outfit. Most times

I would get my outfit ready the night before.

Now being retired, if I'm not going out, I usually wear one of my Stan Herman or Joan Rivers caftans and earrings, mostly hoops.

Lately, I have been going out to some restaurants and I do enjoy putting a nice outfit together.

It is funny that what I was wearing in the picture, wasn't much of an outfit, it was actually a beach cover that fit me like a dress. I wore it because turquoise is one of my best colors to wear.

@Enufstuff  You're welcome, Enuffstuff Smiley HappyHeart! You were born stylish! I can tell even from your photos of you as a little girl that you know exactly how to put an outfit together, accessorise and do your hair- beautiful then and now! You're my kind of gal pal wiht your attention to detail, color coordinatiing and accessorizing.  That iss o cute that even as a toddler you carried purses- I love that! Your work outfits that you put together in advance sound so stylish- the right purse, jewelry, shoes, and outfit to pull a look together.

Turqoise is so lovely on you- and that is such a creative use of a beach coverup worn as a dress.  caftans and hoop earrings are a glam way to dress in stylish comfort in your home.  Keep up the great outits, Enuffstuff! Heart I think that you would've liked my outfit today- I wore cream colored keds sneakers, indigo colored skinny jeans, a scoop neck tee that's fitted and cream and light blue stripes and a cream colored Coach Camera Bag shoulder bag.  I went for a sporty, cute and classic look!

@SportyShorty07   Your outfit sounds perfectly coordinated,

right down to your Coach camera bag.

I'm sure that you must have looked

                              adorable and stylish.

As Springs, we know that cream is much

more flattering on us than optic white, near

                               our face.

(I do have a couple of white tops though,

                                  for summer)

White pants are okay with a colorful top.

Yes indeed- cream and ivory shades are perfect for our Spring complexions and color season palette Smiley Happy.  I also have some optic white tops and even white skinny jeans.   I like to wear gold jewelry with optic white tops to warm up the look. I sometimes wear a turqoise necklace or an aventurine gemstone necklace with white tops.  I wear the white skinny jeans with coral, pink, kelly green or even sunny yellow blouses.  What are your favorite Spring season colors to wear? Smiley Happy

@SportyShorty07    Gold jewelry is also my choice to wear with white or off white.  Like you, I also have my swatches of fabric for my Spring palette. Most of those colors are colors that I liked to wear, even before having my color analysis, back in the 80's.

I also like to wear silver and turquoise jewelry with white, coral and turquoise. I loved the look of silver and turquoise rings and bracelets, especially with a tan in Summer, but stopped tanning many years ago. Even when I did tan, I tried to keep the sun off my face and only used bronzer for color.

If I want to wear a dark color in Fall or Winter, it would be navy or brown. Black is a color I wear for pants only. I did try black years ago, but it just washed  me out and made me look sickly. Not a good look.

I like to wear white pants in summer. My white jeans are slim leg crop pants with gold zippers at the ankles. They are Kim Gravel Flexibelle, slim leg. They are so comfortable and cute on. I have them in six colors.

So many colors I love, but gravitate toward aqua, turquoise,

coral, lilac, periwinkle, warm pink, warm red, light green shades and yellow. Those colors I would wear with white or natural or stone color pants.

This time of year, going into Fall, I wear more teal, bright orange, navy, purple and brown.

Years ago, when I had my colors done, I was told that orange sherbet and royal purple were my best colors and of course turquoise. She told me that turquoise is a universal color and looks good on just about everyone. I have loved to wear turquoise since I was a little girl.

When I made my first dance costume and veil in the 80's, it was orange sherbet. Later, I did make a costume in royal purple, with a purple veil. I made other costumes and veils in turquoise lame, aqua lame and a beautiful ivory sheer fabric with a woven peacock feather design in gold thread. I still have all my costumes and the Egyptian jewelry that I wore for dancing. I loved dancing so much.

Speaking of dancing, it remined me of somethng that I have

just discovered recently.

Do you ever look at you tube videos? I have been watching a lot of the cute animal ones, like Mr.Kermit. Kermit is an adorable orange cat in videos with his adoring, sweet cat Dad,

Javie. If you like cats, you may enjoy them.

Getting back to dancing, Have you seen the videos of Benand Zara? OMG they are adorable. They are a father and young daughter in Australia. They lip sync and dance to so many songs. That little girl is amazing. Even my husband likes to watch them. They are going to do live shows in Australia.

On an Australian talk show, the father, Ben Tate mentioned that he has been on Dancing with the Stars. I used to love to watch that show until the judging was no longer about the quality of the dancing and just became a popularity contest. I stopped watching it years ago and most of the contestants were no longer stars. Now, I even heard that a current woman contestant is a convicted felon and is wearing an ankle monitor

while she dances.    ??????

Anyway, if you have not seen BenandZara in their short videos, you may like to check them out. She is so amazing, she could be another Shirley Temple, she is that good.

@Enufstuff  All of your Spring color season fashion and color selections sound so sylish and fantastic! Its so interesting how we naturally gravitiate towards our seasoal colors before we're assigned a season, Your white Kim Gravelle Flexibelle pants and capris sound so cute. Silver and Turqoise jewelry also really pop against the colors you mentioned and a tan also really makes silver shine.  I never was able to really get a tan- I get sunburned easily, but it never really turns into a base tan. I bet your tans look great! I love a good bronzer- that's how I get a glowy bronzy makeup look to make up for my lack of tanning abilities.

Brown and navy are great for the Fall and Winter.  I like to wear cream or light camel cashmere sweaters in the Fall and a black moto leather jacket with a light ivory or light brown sweater underneath it.  I bet you look lovely in all of your Spring colors- and the lovely orange sherbet and turqoise! Even as a little girl you had sucha  great sense of style and color theory- and now as a beautiful lady, you have a really great sense of color theory and fashion. Your orange sherbet dance costume sounds stunning!! I love that you made all of your gorgeous dance costumes- I bet you can dance! You're such a multi-talented lady, really very interesting!

Thank you for telling me about those youtube people- they were fun to watch! Mr. Kermit and Javie are a dynamic duo- I'm glad that Javie found him when he needed him the most.  Its fun how his cat meows hello to him each morning.  Ben and Zara are such a great father/daughter duo- she's a great dancer with a lot of star quality and she's an adorable little girl! I'm really glad that she's found her passion for dance at sucha  young age- she's going places and she seems to come from a loving family that supports her dreams. Smiley Happy  Speaking of pets, how's your little Frisky Girl Katie doing? Is she enjoying her expertly prepared special meals that you make her? Smiley Happy Enjoy your Sunday!
