@Love my grandkids wrote:It was bound to happen. Today I got a scam/phishing text telling me my package couldn't be delivered as they don't have my correct address and I should *click on the link and fill out your information" LOL As if.
I'm 74 closer to 75 and am smarter than these crooks. Blocked it and deleted. Not today you creeps, not today!
They target me everyday. I got what you just got.
Two days ago my so call grand son called from jail. Wanted me to call his attorney and gave me the number. I played along. I didn,t call number, and five minutes later, the attorney called me. Well, that person got a piece of my mind and before I could finish, they hung up on me.
They think we seniors are stupid. I do feel bad if they get one that has dementia. Sadly, It might
Work.
Isn't that kid outta jail, yet? He called me months ago asking for money. Boy did he get a wrong number.

I get those quite a bit as texts and emails. I also follow some youtubers and their avatars are copied and the scammers are pretending to be them telling you to text them directly on Whatsapp or Telegram. "you have been chosen and have one a prize!!"
Some of the youtubers have warned their viewers it is not them but it does not stop the scammers to continue to reach out, so to speak. Pays to be leery and careful

If the scammers didn't continue to make money they wouldn't continue to try to scam people.

If I decide to play along, I say: "WHAT?" and 'Yayuh!"and "Okay!!!" like Little Jon in this short video..
IT's FUNNY!!! And scammers don't know how to react the first few minutes...
Take a look!

Unfortunately all it takes is one gullible and niave person for them to make money.

I'm going to have to start answering my phone. It's obvious I'm missing all the fun.

A while back I read an interesting article about scammers.
It said that no, they aren't trying to trick you per se ...... they are looking to trick the people not aware or intelligent enough to question the emails.
They know it may be only 1 in 100 that meets this qualification, but that's why there are so many scam emails ... looking for that one "dumb person".

Yeah, many years ago, someone called and wanted me to donate again as much as I'd given before, and he gave me a number. $$$ I laughed out loud, and said, boy do you have a wrong number!!! What a bunch of rubes!!!

Why don't they go out and use that energy and get a job. What work for their income when they mess someone up and rob them!!!
