I am sorry to hear that Toby had surgery.  I just had to make a suggestion.  When Willie had a major surgery a couple of years ago, I through the cone away the minute we got in the car to take him home.  I find them extremely abusive.

This is what I used instead:  

It kept him from licking his incision and he had a large incision .  It worked and was much more comfortable.  I thought I would just throw out my suggestion to you and Toby.

@gertrudecloset    I have so many friends here (no cliques) that I enjoy talking with often, my list would go on for pages.  Every one is an individual with a unique personality from whom I'm constantly learning new things and sharing experiences.  I love a good thread where many people participate and share ideas.  Most days, this board is just so much fun!

@Judaline   AW, thanks.  Willoughby is an Old English Sheepdog.  He was a couple years old in that picture.  No, he wasn't too happy, mostly groggy after his surgery. 

The other picture you mentioned was also an OES, Quincy.  He may have been around 7 in that pic.

@SurferWife I hope you didn't take offense at what I said about the cones.  I know you are a wonderful pet momma and a good person.   I know what is in your heart, and it is goodness.  

I hope Toby is feeling better each day.  It is hard to watch when they are uncomfortable or suffering.
