It is a rebranding of a diabetes med.  Look up Victoza.

It is the same drugs as Victoza (used for type 2 diabetes) but different dosing for weight loss.  The research report show excellent weight loss with use of this subcutaneous injection.  BUT pharmacy insurance does not cover it and the cost is huge- >$1000/month.  it's great if you can afford it and if you can give yourself a subcutaneous injection.

Instead of taking prescirptions meds, why not eat healthy and exercise? Makes MORE sense than relying on a drug to control your appetite.

Some people do not have a feeling of being satisfied, or "full".     At the opposite pole, some people never feel hungry.

If everyone could just exercise and eat right, I think they would. Then there'd be no weight related problems in this country and we'd all be the same as far as weight issues. Unfortunately we're all different! Some have more will power or whatever it takes to eat right and exercise, some don't! It's a lot easier said than done.

How wonderfully blessed for you that you have found a solution that works well for your particular, personal circumstances!

Alas, some of us are not similarly blessed, and find body size management to be a persistent complex issue with no successful solution.

What makes ”MORE sense” to us is to hope that research ultimately will reveal the reasons why something that works well for you doesn’t work for me at all!

The fact that there has been research into this medication is a positive step toward considering obesity as a health problem rather than a cosmetic one, definitely a desirable paradigm shift!

The cost and side effects of this particular medicine may require careful decision making on the part of a potential user, but certainly if this medication is recommended by a doctor who knows a particular patient's history, it would sound as though someone who was trying to address a long term negative health condition would want to know about it.
