Had a chance to see Celtic Thunder today. As usual a great show. There are now 6 of them, all adults. They dropped Daniel--much to my relief, as I thought he was out of place. Of the original there are still 3: George, Ryan and Keith {and has Keith come a LONG WAY from the reedy singer he was in the beginning!!!!}. I DO miss Damien, tho.
They'v change noticeably since Phil Coulter and Sharon Browne have left--a bit more contemporary and there is interaction with the audience. It was billed as a "Greatest Hits" tour. Everyone did solos and then ensemble singing. Ryan spoke of his recent illness and seemed very emotional about all the support he received from his American fans.
We had a great time. We took a friend of mine who had never seen them before, an the GF of my husband's best friend who had also never seen them perform live. At times it was very emotional and we cried like babies. It was fun to watch their reactions I'm hoping they come back for their Christmas tour. I love those guys, I could see them every night for a week and never get tired of them!
If they come to your area, I highly recommend them! {They are very easy on the eyes, too
