I was watching David Bach (the Finish Rich author) earlier this week. He was stating that people should strive to save 3, 6, or 9 months expenses. In this economy, it takes longer to find another position if you are out of work.
How many of you truly have that much saved? Without turning to friends, relatives and public assistance? Without turning to using credit cards to cover your basic needs? Without going out and applying for a loan? Without dipping into your kid's college fund or your retirement accounts?
I am not asking for dollar amounts. Just a general discussion on savings.
