Get outside of yourself and be outgoing for others. Lord, help me
to act in a heartwarming manner so that Your presence in me lights
an entire room.

Scripture for the day:

"He must increase, but I must decrease." ~John 3:30

Meditation for the day:

We can try to stand aside and let God work through us. We can try not
to block God off by our own efforts, or prevent God's spirit from
working through us. God desires our obedient service and our loyalty
to the ideals of the new life we are seeking. If we are loyal to God,
He can give us protection against mistakes. God's spirit can plan for
us and secure for us a sufficiency of all spiritual help. We can have
true victory and real success, if we will put ourselves in the
background and let God work through us.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may not interfere with the working of God's spirit in me
and through me. I pray that I may give it full rein.

Hello my friends! Well, it was a little bit cooler today, not in the 100's,
and he had off today so got the weeding done and watering since no rain for
a few days. Today's blessings are the ordinary, but the ordinary are very
special! Being together is special and a great gift from God and I praise
and thank Him for that! Mass this morning was special - visiting with
friends after Mass - special - so many ordinary blessings given to us each
day - we just recognize them and give Him all the Glory and Thanks. Finding
all of you here - another blessing! When we lie down to just think of our
blessings, we never run out! Praying for all of you, my friends, and
thanks so much for keeping us in your prayers, too.

If...

If a soul can be touched, by what I have to give,
Then let me give unconditionally.

If a heart can be healed by the feeble words I pray,
Then let me pray unceasingly.

If my walk through the fire keeps someone from getting burned,
Then let me walk through the flames without faltering.

If the love that I share can reflect your love in me,
Then let me shine, radiantly

Jesus and Alexander

Jesus and Alexander died at 33.
One lived and died for self; one died for you and me.
The Greek died on a throne; the Jew died on a cross;
One's life a triumph seemed; the other but a loss.

One led vast armies forth; the other walked alone.
One shed a whole world's blood; the other gave His own.
One won the world in life and lost it all in death;
The other lost His life to win the whole world's faith.

Jesus and Alexander died at 33.
The Greek made all men slaves; the Jew made all men free;
One built a throne on blood; the other built on love.
The one was born of earth; the other from above.

The one won all this earth, to lose all earth and heaven;
The other gave up all, that all to Him be given.
The Greek forever died; the Jew forever lives.
He loses all who gets; he wins all things who gives.

Charles Ross Weede

Mother Teresa said...
Jesus, you have given everything, life, blood, all. Now it is my turn. I put
everything into the field also. The common soldier fights in the ordinary
lines, but the devoted one tries to be near the captain to share his fate.
This is the spirit of Christ.

Words of Wisdom

Someone has written these beautiful words. Must read and try to understand
the deep meaning of it. They are like the ten commandments to follow in life
all the time.

1. Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble, but it
is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout.

2. So why is a car's windshield so large and the rear view mirror so small?
Because our past is not as important as our future. So, look ahead and move
on.

3. Friendship is like a book. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes
years to write.

4. All things in life are temporary. If it’s going well, enjoy it, that
won't last long. If it’s going badly, don't worry, that won't last long
either.

5. Old friends are gold! New friends are diamond! If you get a diamond,
don't forget the gold! Because to hold a diamond, you always need a base of
gold!

6. Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, God smiles from above
and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!"

7. When God solves your problems, you have faith in His abilities; when God
doesn't solve your problems, He has faith in your abilities.

8. A blind person asked St. Anthony, "Can there be anything worse than
losing eye sight?" He replied, "Yes, losing your vision!"

9. When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them; sometimes,
when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

10. Worrying does not take away tomorrow's troubles, it takes away today's
peace .

MOTHER OF GOD, REMEMBER ME

Mother of God, remember me
To the Heart of Christ, your Son;
Remember me, Mother, through all my years
Till my work on earth is done.

Mother of God, remember me
When I reach the vast unknown,
Remember me, Mother, and plead my cause
When I stand to be judged alone.

Mother of God, remember me
As I pass my final goal;
Lily-white village maid, Mother of God,
Tell Jesus you love my soul.

Mother of God, remember me
In the Court of your Son Adored,
Let me praise and love Him forevermore.
Near that beautiful heart of yours.

It's Me Again God

Remember me God?
I come everyday
Just to talk to you, Lord
And to learn how to pray

You make me feel welcome
You reach out your hand
I need never explain
For you understand

I come to you frightened
And burdened with care
So lonely and lost
And so filled with despair

And suddenly Lord
I am no longer afraid
My burden is lighter
And the dark shadows fade

Oh God what a comfort
To know that you care
And to know when I seek you.
You will always be there.
