No great or good work is ever accomplished without patient preparation.
Lord, when my work is not going as I planned, remind me to be grateful
that I am being trained for greater achievement.

Scripture for the day:

"He has told you, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to
act justly, to love tenderly, and to walk humbly with your God." ~Micah 6:8

Meditation for the day:

"Walk humbly with your God." Walking with God means practicing the presence
of God in our daily affairs. It means asking God for the strength to face
each new day. It means turning to God often during the day in prayer for
ourselves and for other people. It means thanking God at night for the
blessings we have received during the day. Nothing can seriously upset us
if we are "walking with God." We can believe that God is beside us in
spirit, to help us and to guide us on our way.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may try to walk humbly with God. I pray that I may turn to
God often, as to a close friend.

Greetings my friends! Today was a perfect day weatherwise - 72 most of the
day! I picked some raspberries, not many yet the second time around, but
they're coming, and we had a VERY good time with Father Mark! He loved
everything I made, he even had two bowls of soup! I first served a good
salad with our lettuce, our tomatoes, our cucumber, our banana pepper, and
some boughten sprouts and grapes. Everything turned out great and he loved
also the dressing I make, the olive oil and plum vinegar. He only was here
for an hour, but we got a lot of good visiting in, and he'll come here more
often. We seem to just hit it off as friends right away. He's all in to
healthy eating, and I mentioned the Good Earth Food Store for organic foods
and he'll be going there for sure. So happy he's our priest!! That, my
friends, is a great blessing to have him for our Pastor. Linus did get the
invisible fence done, but boy was he cramping tonight. We were invited to
play cards by friends, and we never really got to finish the game, he was
cramping so hard - his legs. He did so much crawling around at Lori's and
up an down steps etc. it was too much for one day. Thank God the cramping
did stop after a while and we were able to visit and have lunch there. Lori
should give him a good leg massage!! But when? both schedules don't match.
Praying for all your needs and thanks for your prayers for us.

Power of the Holy Name of Jesus

The name of Jesus is the shortest, the easiest, and the most powerful of
prayers. Everyone can say it, even in the midst of daily work. Our Lord
Himself has solemnly promised that whatever we ask the Father in His Name we
shall receive (provided, of course, that it be for His Glory and the good of
our soul).
Each time we pronouce the holy Name of Jesus with reverence and love, and
with proper intention, we give great glory to God and obtain for ourselves
priceless graces.

Each time we say Jesus, we may, in desire:

Make an act of perfect love, offering to God all the infinite love of His
Divine Son as if it were our own.

Offer the Passion and Death of Our Lord to the Eternal Father for His
greater glory and our own intentions.

Offer to God all the infinite merits and perfections of Jesus.

Offer all the Holy Masses said each day throughout the world, for the glory
of God and the good of our own and others' souls.

Each time we say Jesus, we increase in our souls the virtues of faith, hope
and charity. Our faith becomes more lively, our confidence in God greater,
and our love more intense.

The Holy Name of Jesus saves us from innumerable evils and dangers, helps us
to overcome temptations, and delivers us from the power of the devil, who is
constantly seeking to do us harm.

The Holy Name of Jesus fills our souls with peace and joy, and gives us
strength to bear our trials and sufferings with patience and resignation.

Each time we say Jesus, we can gain a partial indulgence which we may apply
to the souls in purgatory, thus relieving and liberating many of them from
their awful pains, and gaining for ourselves friends who will pray for us
with incredible fervor.

We ought, therefore, to try to acquire the habit of saying Jesus, Jesus,
Jesus, very often every day, with fervent love and devotion - when dressing,
when working - no matter what we are doing, in moments of sadness and in
moments of joy, at home, in company, on the street, when walking, riding or
waiting. We can say it countless times every day, and thus gain untold
graces and blessings for ourselves and for the whole world. Nothing is
easier, if only we do it with all our heart.

INVOCATION

O admirable Name of Jesus! Name most holy! to men most amiable! Name above
every name. No other name is given under heaven in which we can be saved.

Jesus, honey in our mouth, melody to our ears, sweet jubilee to our hearts!
O Jesus! You are our life, You are our salvation, You are our glory, to You
be praise forever and ever. Amen

So that I may make the right choices,
Be kind and good to others.

Throughout the day and into the night,

Guiding me and Loving me.

In Jesus Christ's name, I pray

The Great Physician

Welcome to the Great Physician
Office hours are as you come,
He's a Specialist in all problems
And His day is never done.
He can heal a heart that's broken
He can mend the spirit, too,
No matter what your ailment
He does have the cure for you.
His fee for service never alters
He serves rich and poor as well,
He's our one chance for Salvation,
He alone saves us from H ell.
There's no fee for services rendered
All He asks is that we believe,
That He bled and died to save us
And all His blessings we will receive.
Do you have a special problem
That is troubling you this hour?
The just simply leave it with Him
You can find no greater power.
Don't delay in seeking treatment
Please, my friend, don't hesitate,
For His office is soon closing
And He'll shut and lock the gate.
I wouldn't want you to suffer
While the Doctor's so close by,
Your whole life will be much better
If my Physician you will try.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
O Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore You. Enlighten me, guide me,
strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do - give me Your orders. I
promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and to accept all that
You permit to happen to me. Let me only know Your will.

Prayer When You Need Patience

Forgive me, Dear God,
If today I have been impatient, especially with people.
If today I have made anyone feel a nuisance.
If today I did not show understanding for others mistakes.
If today there were times when I was too head strong, too sure I was right.
If today I have ridden rough shod over the feelings of someone else.
If today I have been unapproachable to talk to,
difficult to work with,
critical of others,
harsh and quick in my judgement.

I cannot undo what I have done,
but help me tomorrow to be more loving and kind,
as you are to me. Amen.
