I think it's nice that no one here hates her, even though she's complained a lot about how hard royal family life is. I guess she is still considered classy enough for us to not generate 500 page threads about her. Or maybe because she's older now, the press lost interest and no one here knows they're supposed to hate her?
Camilla and the feminine hygiene phone call with Charles, that scandal almost cost him the throne. They are very messy people.

Almost cost him the throne??? Huh?
Feel free to look it up. Wild stuff.

No need to look it up but where are you getting the crazy notion about it almost costing him the throne??? Ridiculous.

Being a feather ruffler from way back, I'd sit in the back of the church with me Mum, if that were the case.

The Queen was always known to be and kind to her staff and servants. Charles not so much. I wish him well though. He has waited and been in training for 7 decades.
I recall that, but was put off with the fact that he has a valet fold his toilet paper for him! I guess it's too strenuous? I learned on here last week that he also travels with his own toilet seat.
Knowing that, it's hard to respect a man who can be so petty.
I also read quite a number of years ago that his valet must put the toothpaste on his toothbrush to have it ready for Charles.

Sarah was not invited to Kate and Williams wedding, but she did attend Harry and Meghan's. She also sat in the same row as Andrew and her daughters, but not right next to them. There was at least one person sitting between her and the rest of her family, and I don't know who that person was.

Why would you have to RESPECT him ? He is nothing to you or me....We have enough trouble here in the USA with enough powerful people to DISrespect or respect....

I just remember Fergie was charging people to have access to Prince Andrew. The Queen and Prince Philip found out about that & Philip wanted her banned from any royal family social invitations.

I don't see the new King Charles in charge for long. He was too old when he took over and I don't think he can handle the responsibility. I give him five to ten years before he hands over the title to William.
Funny, I said the exact thing to my husband the other day.

I would guess because he is a child. He is humiliated by not wearing a uniform, and because Sarah is divorced legally.
What they do as heads of state and what they do as humans are not the same. That's why it is a hard job, and the Queen did her best to remember she is the monarch, head of the Church, and a ruler before she is a wife, mother and friend. It isn't a job I would want, then it is a job not chosen or applied for. You just do your best.
Forgiveness is a matter of the heart; who walks and who comes to the state funeral and who sits where is a matter of protocol and duty.
