Sam's Club back to normal....for now anyway

Made a trip to Sam's Club early this morning, and am happy to say that it appears much of what was missing as far as sanitizing supplies is back.

I found

Masks, both disposable and reusable,

Hand sanitizer in many sizes and brands, but all from China so no go for me

Peroxide

Alcohol

Gloves

Clorox wipes in the 5 large canisters per pack

Lysol spray in the can, pack of four (I think)

Bleach

I didn't need most of this, but got alcohol and peroxide and Clorox wipes to add to the stock. Those were not as plentiful as the other items, so I look for them to be back out of stock soon

It was the most comprehensive group of this type of supplies I've seen since January, and even more quantity of some things than back before the pandemic. I notice that most of this stuff isn't available online though. They must just be shipping it to stores.

Hope this is the trend and broadens nationwide, and continues.

Oh and the TP/paper towel  aisle was fuller than I had seen it even pre pandemic.

Also, they had at least a half a dozen freezers in stock. Small, 5 cubic foot ones, but I know those have been hard to find too.

Even the beef cases were fuller again.

This is such EXCITING news, and gives hope to so many people that are still struggling to find essentials!!! Let's hope this is a sign that vital industry is recovering, and that panic searching will soon be a thing of the past.😊🙏

I anticipate as schools and universities open up, and as areas that were more shut down for longer get  businesses open and back online, a lot of supplies like this might be depleted once again as people will need them for schools, and their work places.

I hope not, but I have heard people concerned that so many school supply lists are asking for things that have been hard to find, like tissues and disinfecting wipes, and they don't know how they will send them into the schools. If they do find them, another wave of shortages may occur, for real reasons, as people and businesses will need more of these things once opened back up.

@Mominohio  You're right! That is certainly a plausible rippling effect. With so many unknowns, I too, hope these things do not come to pass🤞.

All schools, and universities here will have remote learning only this fall, and our already struggling businesses are once again under stringent mandates. As you stated, once they open up...😐

Went on a family run to Costco today (each month our extended family sends one person with a long list to Costco) and can report the store was well stocked and not busy at 2 PM. For the first time I noticed self-serve checkout. This may be good for those having a few items so they don't wait behind loaded carts. I always hope employees aren't losing their jobs with self service.

Until some media idiot puts out another alarm that sugar, flour, toliet paper, soup, meat, etc. is going to be in short supply.

@Mominohio

I hope ours is the same🤞🏻🤞🏻

I only want Lysol (or any brand) spray...I always just "miss" it no matter what time or where I go☹️☹️
