@LuvSoCal   Back in the glory days of QVC Steve Bryant and Mike Rowe were my two favorite male hosts.  

I think those two in particular could get away with saying a lot of funny things about the product they were selling.  

Mike Rowe was hysterical during the overnight hours.  I don't know if anyone remembers him selling that plastic sack for cats to play in.  I remember him saying something along the line of that is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen.  I couldn't believe he wasn't fired the next day.  

He was a fun guy but being a QVC host wasn't the best job for him.

So sorry you were confused.  I answered no I 'm to honest to lie to my customers, either on TV or in person.  I added the tip story because it has to do with sales.  It was a simple comment, not meant to confuse anyone or to be off topic.

but I love performing for audiences in my Sweet Adelines barbershop chorus and quartet. That's where I "sell", with showmanship and expression. Thats the only selling I want to do

@J Town Girl I remember Mike Rowe, he was hilarious. Didn't seem like QVC was his cup of tea. He did quite well on the Discovery Channel and other  channels though.

I would give it a try. They make really good money, and have really good benefits. I should say I know they used to be paid really good money, not sure anymore what their starting salary is.

The seasoned really top sellers make extremely good salary.
