I'm convinced that anyone can sell anything if just pointing out the positive aspects of a product, but ignoring the negative. For instance, there have been great moisturizers (like heel creams) for sale on the Q, but you get them home and find out that the scent is terrible.
You will never hear a host say anything negative about a product. Every line of products is the hosts' favorite on any given day. Every single product is the most fabulous, made with the best ingredients, most flattering, etc. Since we know that can't be true of everything, I use the product reviews to get some objective opinions.
I could never be a host, because I'd probably hear these words coming out of my mouth: "This is the ugliest furry vest I have ever seen and it won't look good on anyone!"
