Safari- anyone having trouble?

[ Edited ]

Very specific question.

i am using my iPad.  I use safari as my browser. Right now, while I can text, email, play words with friends, Safari is totally down. it won't respond at all.

I have cleared history, restarted and it won't bring up any site.

Is anyone else, using an iPad only, having trouble with Safari right now?

Interesting note- Safari on my MacBook Air is working just fine.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: Safari- anyone having trouble?

I've been using Safari on an iPad all day.  No problems at all.

@gidgetgh    Mine is fine ,  I'm sorry your having issues .   Hopefully it will be ok soon.    I'm not very tech savvy perhaps someone here can help you ,   Many here on the forum  are very good with suggestions.

Re: Safari- anyone having trouble?

Ok, so I completely shut my IPad down and started it back up.

I launched Safari and was able to get on here. So, progress.

But when I try to pull up Facebook, it says it's down for required maintenance. Weird stuff this afternoon.

@gidgetgh

I'm using Safari on my iPad all morning, no problems,  I was on Facebook a few minutes ago, no maintenance while using it.

@gidgetgh  Safari always seems to have one problem or another, and it's well known throughout the Ipad community. On my Ipad it wants to constantly refresh the page and at times won't respond at all. Granted Iv'e had it a while, but Safari is notorious for being problematic. You also want to make sure all your software updates are current.

@KittySoftPaws - I'm up to date on everything.  But now, since I had that Safari issue, I'm not buying the Facebook down issue either. I access Facebook through the browser, not the ap0.

Re: Safari- anyone having trouble?

@gidgetgh I read where you said you have restarted your iPad to no avail. But did you turn off the iPad completely and then turn it back on?  I have found there is a difference between restarting and a complete shut-down.  Worth a shot if you haven't tried it.
